Passenger Car Radial Tires

AT61
Born to Conquer Tough Off-Road Situations
A new tread pattern and contour, a wider tread surface, a dedicated off-road compound, and a robust 3-ply carcass construction are combined to deliver increased load capacity and rugged durability.
Upgraded Tread Compound
Upgraded with a higher natural rubber content and a new filler system, this reformulation delivers enhanced traction and braking performance. Compared with our first-generation compound, the upgraded version features stronger ice and snow grip, and also higher wear resistance.
Lower-Sidewall Tread Design
The 3D lower-sidewall tread is designed to create a more aggressive appearance while increasing shoulder strength to fend off side impacts. The multi-angled tread surfaces enhance traction on complex terrains like mud and gravel. The distinctive "RT" engraving announces the tire's true off-road character.
Sidewall Design
The three-ply casing construction delivers higher load-bearing capacity compared to conventional two-ply designs. Optimized sidewall structure with a low-heat buildup filler compound reduces heat generation in the bead area during vehicle operation. The lower-sidewall pattern increases overall sidewall thickness and strength, thus ensuring resilience under harsh road conditions.
Wider Tread Profile
The squared-off contour creates a stable and expansive contact patch, which increases the footprint for enhanced handling stability and a more powerful appearance. Furthermore, through advanced simulation of footprint and stress distribution, the design ensures even ground pressure distribution, thereby minimizing stress concentrations.
3D Tread Pattern
The sharply defined, multi-angled tread blocks create a bold, aggressive appearance while maintaining comfortable on-road performance for an all-terrain tire. The large, rigid center blocks are arranged at steep angles to efficiently transmit driving and braking forces while delivering outstanding traction and responsive handling. The open shoulder grooves and stone ejectors effectively expel mud, snow, and debris, to keep the tread clean.
All-Terrain Traction
3D steel plies are used to significantly enhance grip on snowy and muddy surfaces. A specialized tread compound balances wear resistance with tenacious grip on dry, wet, and icy roads. 12 mm grooves and interlocking blocks actively channel water and clear mud to prevent hydroplaning.
Interlocking Grooves
The interlocking network of longitudinal and lateral grooves effectively reduces road noise while the interlocking blocks enhance traction and off-road capability for improved escape from challenging terrain.
